Do you experience anxiety in relationship and are wanting to learn how to communicate in a relationship in a more effective manner?
Do you want to connect with your partner and enhance and deepen emotional and or sexual intimacy?
Are you wanting to explore your core beliefs and limiting beliefs and views of self that create anxiety and emotion regulation struggles?
Are you wanting to improve your relationship with food and body?
Do you want to heal from relationship breakups, sexual or physical abuse, or other events in life that have left scars?
Do you use humor to hide vulnerability and are wanting to feel more comfortable with vulnerability and more able to advocate for and express your needs?
Do you want to let go of shame and experience life with a more positive view of self?
I often work with individuals in therapy who want to...
*Find better ways to work through anxiety
*Heal from trauma
*Improve connection, communication, and intimacy in their relationships
*Improve their relationship with food and body.
*Have a safe space to talk about a loved one's addiction and explore ways to navigate the dynamics and boundaries of loving someone who struggles with their substance use.
*Be able to work through grief and loss as you find ways to continue forward holding this loss as part of your life without feeling consumed by it.
I utilize evidence-based therapy including:
-Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-Dialectical Behavioral Thearapy (DBT)
-Internal Family Systems (IFS)
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I work with you to understand your inner world. We will explore the stories you tell yourself that may cause you struggle or disconnection.
I work with you to take actionable steps to make changes in your life. I support you in gaining skills and “ways of being” that can help you experience life in a more fulfilling and satisfying way.
I sit with you as you work through painful emotions and memories. I work to help you to integrate and work through these emotions so that your life going forward feels freer.
I have a personsable, empathetic and active approach to therapy. In working with me, you can hope to take away new perspective shifts, new coping skills, and new ways of seeing and operating in the world that can lead to a happier and more fulfilling life and relationships.
I recommend (but no not dictate) starting therapy with weekly or every other week appointments. This will help you make progress toward your goals. As you notice and feel change, I suggest spacing out your appointments. This will help you build confidence to move forward on your own.
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced therapy . It helps people integrate and digest traumatic memories and other upsetting experiences.
