Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or just the challenges we all face as humans trying to navigate life and relationships, I will provide a supportive space to explore your experience...where you have been, where you are now, and where you want to go. 

I will work with you to increase your inner resources to help you get where you want to be in your life or in your relationship. 

I utilize various evidenced based approaches in my work with you such as 
-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
-Internal Family Systems (IFS)
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

I get to know you in order to understand what approach or approaches in therapy might be the best fit for you. 

While I have the education and experience to effectively practice as a therapist, I believe therapy is a collaborative approach and is not just about me directing the process. I can offer you new mental health "tools", perspective shifts, and coping skills; however, I want your input in the process. I want therapy to be an engaging process for you in which we are working together in order to help you reach your goals. 

In couples therapy, I work primarily from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach. EFT is based on attachment theory and is an effective and well researched therapy approach that can help couples reconnect with more vulnerability and intimacy. 

My practice specializes in treating adult individuals and couples, and I offer comprehensive services like:

Clinical Supervision

As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, I work from a systems approach with associate licensed clinicians looking to obtain their independent licensure. 

Counseling for Anxiety

Are you looking to feel more at peace in day to day life? Are you wanting to move your anxiety out of the "driver's seat" and into the backseat? Are you wanting to understand how to work with your anxiety and better understand your needs and values and how to live more in alignment with them so that anxiety can "quiet down"? 

Eating Disorder Therapy

Are you wanting to improve your relationship with your body and find ways to live life without constant thoughts about food and constant worry about weight? Would you like to feel better with your body image? Would you like to experience more flexibility with food?

Emotionally Focused Therapy

Do you want to feel more connected to your partner and have greater intimacy? Do you want to stop the conflict "dance" where one person escalates in conflict and the other defends or withdraws? Are you wanting to better understand yourself and your partner's needs in relationship so that you can communicate more effectively?

Individual Therapy

Are you going through a life "reshuffling", maybe wondering more about what you want out of life or considering making a change in life but hesitant to do so and wanting to explore what you are experiencing in order to reach greater clarity?

Couples Counseling

LGBTQIA+Affirming. I work with dating couples, long-term partnerships, married couples, monogamous and non-monagomous couples and couples discerning whether or not they can remain together. I work with infidelity and the impact of addiction in relationships as well as with couples in which one member is in recovery from an eating disorder. I work with relationships where people feel they are "in crisis" as well as with couples who just want to explore ways to create greater intimacy or strengthen the foundation of their relationship in specific ways. 

Pre-Marital Counseling

Are you wanting to enter a marriage with a stronger and more solid foundation for a life together? Are you wanting to work out some "bumps" in the relationship before they might become "roadblocks"? Are you wanting to create more safety for vulnerable conversations in your relationship and help with talking about the "harder topics"? 

Trauma Therapy/EMDR

Using trauma therapy approaches such as EMDR and IFS, you will work to get “unstuck” from past experiences and create lasting healing trauma. I believe in being trauma-informed in my approach, as the way in which people heal from trauma is not just "theirs alone" but also requires a provider who works to create safety and collaboration in all aspects of the healing journey.
